Here is my list of things I really really want. In other words; my bucket list.
- 1- PCMCIA network card for my A1200
I really want to hook my A1200 up to my network. This way I can easily transfer files to and from it. Using floppy disks is such a nightmare. I still have a PC that has a floppy disk drive but I wonder how long it still will work. You also need to split the ADF file (image of a floppy disk) in to two parts and join them again on the A1200. Once I have my new office done I want to use my A1200 a lot. I am really looking forward to get the A1200 back in action. I got my eyes on the EASYNET PCMCIA NETWORK CARD (A1200/A600) at AmigaKit

Cool! I left a comment in the “Evicted” article about the card from AmigaKit. I see now that you’re going for the non-wireless one.
After you’ve installed it, you’ll wonder how you did without in the past.
I can also recommend a PCMCIA Compact-Flash adapter. I’ve got one from AmigaKit with 512MB CF-card. Makes it very easy to transfer files to and from the 1200.
I might go for the wlan one. Just under 10 euro more. More hardware! Hmmm got to talk to the wife.
A wireless network card means less cables and clutter on the floor and along the walls..
Maybe that’s an argument you can use?
Looks more tidy without all sorts of cables.
I think I can wing it.
Hi Coder, I may have researched this before, but do you know of a cheap way to get an A4000 on a network? I had a feeling my research led to either a Deneb USB controller £100 (UK) and then a USB Ethernet dongle, or a Zorro Network card which are pretty hard to find. Advantage of PCMCIA and the A1200 I guess!
Hi,
Would it actually work if you plug in a USB ethernet dongle into a Deneb USB controller? I never really looked into this.
I could not find it but would the below card actually work for the A4000?
